Allessandro M. Orsetti (1866-1906) was born in Italy and appeared in Detroit around 1893, working in statuary. He soon changed his name to Alexander and from 1896-1897 worked as a caster for Reuther & Co. In 1901, he was an ornamental plasterer and papier mâché manufacturer, and dealt in statues and busts, and at the time of his early death in 1906, was employed with the Architectural Contracting Company.
